Distance 0.7 km one way, height gain 5 m, easy There are 700+ m of paved trail in the Little Elbow Provincial Recreation Area, which includes the Little Elbow Parking lot and Forgetmenot Pond. The area was rebuilt in 2018 with many new picnic sites and lots of parking, including wheelcair parking.

The pond is a beautiful green, cold water, and the area always looks so serene. Yes, in the summer it does get crowded with families looking for the picnic tables to hang out for the day. We still go out regularly, to walk around the pond or do some of the other close by trails.

I'm excited. Eek! I'm so glad you made it this far! I'm excited. Unlike most years, by mid October the leaves have all fallen, and the winds have turned cold! Lucky for Kaaty and Josh, this October has been much like the type of Fall I have always dreamed of! The fall colours were still out, and the wind was minimal for this beautiful lake side.
